Um, but religion does try to. I think you're missing the point, which is that yes like Dawkins says religion gets the "free-ride" and gets to dodge any sort of intellectual challenge. That's what I want to say. And yes there are some opinions that are less credible. Religious opinions are NOT credible because they have absolutely no evidence or reason to support them. Bottom line. They are not credible in the same way that the Iliad was not credible as a historical document.
