The acceleration of the ball and how it bounces is not natural for a normal ping ping ball but more like a rubber bouncy ball. Obviously fake--still cool though.
Probably millions of failed attempts. According to my calculations, that video is edited from at least 6200 years of failed attempts. In fact, in one of the outdoor shots you can see the constellations are different.
Looks like bad motion tracking to me, in fact, no motion tracking at all... IMHO looks like the camera was still and they added the handheld look afterwards, which again was done badly.
