thehylia.com — Just after The Hylia did a feature on the possibility of a Zelda film, Reggie Fils-Aime spoke to Club Nintendo, a Mexican publication equivalent to Nintendo Power, about the Big N's plans for their franchises on the silver screen. Plans that include The Legend of Zelda, and the production apparently will be handled by Nintendo itself.

Maybe they're make a sweet 10 minute overhead view sequence much like the 10 minute Doom Movie first person run through. Zelda would be the sickest movie ever. Period.

Halle Berry just popped into my mind, but I'm not sure she would want to do another superheroish kind of film after the reviews from the Catwoman movie.

Live action - yesIn terms of a movie, the game would need to be broken off into it's most driving factors. Namely - Link maturing, rescue Zelda, kill Ganon. A first movie could and should be done about Link becoming the warrior he is known for being. If you needed to choose a game to base the movie off of, Ocarina of Time. It sets up the characters and is a compelling story on it's own.

Hey, I'm all for a Zelda movie... perhaps link will actually get some dialog. And a true fan is a fan for life. no matter what. Have faith in Nintendo, they gave us a great Video Game God.

Personally, i think a zelda movie would be pretty cool. it might be hard to create a plot that doesn't ruin the game, but still, it's a zelda movie people! i know game-based movies often stink, but i was thinking that this might be different coz nintendo's handling it. Doesn't anyone trust nintendo anymore?! Geez! As long as Orlando Bloom isn't Link, I'm sure it will be fine.

people said lord of the rings couldnt be done justice on live action, and if nintendo have someone like peter jackson it could be that good, if done wrong it could end up like legend, i like the film but i see why it didnt do well. i think link should talk but in short phrases and not to chatty, also i think ganondorf should be more introspective and sympathetic like he is in the wind waker because they need to develop his character if he is killed but i think they wontkill him, he'll be trapped and zelda and link will begin life anew to stay true to the game, to make a sequel more possible and because the japanese hate final american endings so that for all you care the hero dies after the film because they like to leave uncertaincy and mystery

If this is real and is anything close to the game I will like it.They better not mess this up because that could end their best game serious. But if they make a masterpeice of it, than that will up their business by a a lot.

The Legend of Zelda movie would honestly have to be CGI because nobody would be able to play Link and Zelda and most of the things fans would be looking for would probobly be impossible for actors to do. Like the fighting or even the magic and things like that could be done with graphics but fans are looking for stunts that no human could ever do. I'm just saying as a HUGE Legend of Zelda fan. It would be a huge hit if they made a movie.

Whoever said Zelda should be played by Christina Ricci should be slapped. She should be hot, not look like a walking corpse.

That'd be frickn' sweet, I wounder if they'll use the same voice for Link as they do in the game,

Late to the party as always, but at least I can weigh in on this one.A Zelda movie would be awesome, but as far as live action...they would have to us so much CGI for the movie to work (Ganon's monster form, the spells, boss monsters if there are any, and of course the landscapes) that they would almost be better off doing the whole thing in CGI. Not that it would mean that they couldn't have realistic characters (look at the new Final Fantasy games), and they could even just 'digitize' the cast to be sure. Now as far as the cast goes, we can all put names down till our heads pop (The Rock as Ganondorf would work), but we don't know enough yet to really make any calls. That said, I'm sorry aMMgYrP, but yours won't work at all. Orlando Bloom is NOT Link, Ganondorf should never be a pro wrestler, Samuel Jackson doesn't fit as King Hyrule, and to top it off, Cristina Ricci as Zelda?!?! Not only is she completely wrong for the character, but she'll be too busy working on the Spyro movie (assuming those people know what they're doing). Thanks for your opinion, but no.
