wow I remember designing my first webpage in 1997 and it definitely looked just as bad as those! Granted, we were all working with dial-up and modems that could not handle anything much more graphics-heavy than those sites
In 1998, 2 years after this, I was 12 years old programming HTML to make fan sites for cartoons I liked and as birthday cards to friends and stuff. I also remember taking a CD when I was in 5th grade and using SoundBlaster on my PC to record a song to a .wav format and then put it on a floppy disk to give to one of my friends. Who knew 12 years later this would be how everyone listened to music? That brings back memories of Windows 3.1 and File Manager.
