What about those of us who pay to watch BBC America? I can understand that British networks would want to get paid for their shows but I do pay to watch British shows. This is maddening with The IT Crowd but even more intensely frustrating with the video downloads made by the BBC itself exclusively for netizens in the UK. Hey! Lots of us across the pond pay to support your programming! and we would like to be able to download shows too. Give us a legal way to purchase your content if you don't want us ignoring your property rights.
Just a guess, but perhaps it has something to do with Channel4's bandwidth! I live in the UK and even I've been struggling to download the episodes cos the servers are so hammered. I wonder what it must cost them in bandwidth? If you want a good, upcoming comedy have a look at The mighty boosh. www.mightyboosh.com (Not IT related, but still very funny)
BTW, my friend Josh uploaded it into youtube. the whole thing. :D just look on google video search and you'll find it.errm, why is this a WMV stream? won't work with Firefox on my Ubuntu Linux machine at all! f**kers!
This show is the stuff, luv it but wish us here in the us could see it. Shoot I would even pay for it ontop of paying for my sat tv & netflix & comcast Broadband because I it is funny as heck. The UK Rules(hehe).
