I was hoping the author was going to work through blacklisting every one of Google's services/servers via IP and THEN try browsing the web and see what works and what doesn't.
It goes beyond the 24h. It's a celebration and at the same time the realization that in 10 years Google managed to become the tool that, like it or not, one can't do without without resorting to actually stopping using the net itself. The article, with humor and realism, brings forth several aspects of how Google over 10 years became indispensable.
It is amazing how much Google has taken over. So many people use it for more than just a search engine. GMail, Chrome, etc... If one of these people are held without it, I can see how they would go crazy! Good for Google to make it this necessary!
