Actually, Obama..you are an idiot. IT is a well established FACT hat Digg is burning through venture capital like a drought fueled California wildfire. The site lost over $5 million last year and is projected to lose more than that this year. And this is not a new site anymore. 5 years is more than enough time to show SOME signs of turning things around, yet Digg's financial situation is just getting worse.I am sorry you do't LIKE the facts, but they are facts.
Yeah, but YouTube has a much more wealthy parent company to keep them afloat. Digg will NOT fare too well in the next round of funding. They only got money the lat time because VCs were hoping that someone like Google would be stupid enough to overpay for it. Now that it is obvious that Digg will never have any interested buyers, investors are going to demand to see some sort of actual profit plan.
So is the new Digg.Try clicking on a specific comment from a popular thread from a user profile page. The page will dance around for 10 minutes before it let's you actually maneuver around the page. If you try before the page "settles", it will zip back to the original point.Digg is by far the WORST coded site on the internet. FAR worse than MySpace during its worst years. They have claimed to be working on the bouncing comment box and the "logging users out every 5 minutes or so" problem for over 2 years now. Yet the problems still persist.
