abcnews.go.com— Popular energy drinks such as Red Bull, Full Throttle, Rockstar and Monster are a common choice of "mixers" for alcoholic beverages, but may pose health risks. And that's no bull.

Read the article:"We do not promote Red Bull energy drink as a mixer with alcohol as this might impair the positive effects of [the drink] as advertised," Radden wrote. "There is no reason why Red Bull?should not, like any other drink, be mixed with alcohol as long as people do not underestimate that alcohol consumption might impair their mental and physical activities."Also, they mentioned a can of Red Bull has 80mg of caffeine, a "moderate" intake of caffeine of a healthy person should be about 400mg.Seems like the biggest issue w/ Red Bull + Vodka is that you don't realize you're as drunk as you actually are because of the caffeine.
i'm sure it's not good for you, but it's so much fun ;)i was doing an hour of power with some friends (a shot every minute for an hour) and i don't like beer so much so i made a pitcher of my favorite drink, rockstar and vodka. i made it to 43 shots. i was bouncing off the walls, heart beating faster than it ever had, and absolutely could not sleep that night. (like i said, fun :)
Incase anyone else Googles the side effects of Vodka and Red bull and comes across this message, I was wondering if anyone has actually experienced side effects from this? .... My brother was drinking this the other night and ended up in hospital, convulsing, heart rate extremely high, stopped breathing occasionally. (but who's to say what caused it :/)... I have drank this a million times and never experienced any side effects other than a hangover :/ Can anyone actually verify that something has happened to them due to drinking Vodka and Red Bull.....???
