they missed the funkiest mod for a bug: buggy, I can't help but smile when I see a buggy.Or the best mod: a couple of bricks in the front, cheaper mod ever and works great for the handling. I'm still sad I had to sell my bug, but I know it's in good hand with somebody who has the money to give it all the care it needs. Another great on is swapping the engine with one of an old porsche, smoking ricers civics in bug
"Heater in a beetle, pff pussy. I live in Michigan and for a few years I rocked it year round with no heater."My comment was based on a friend's Beetle back in college and how he'd complain of excessively crappy mileage in the winter. He also had to add an aftermarket electric heater on the passenger side to keep his girlfriend happy proving that no woman will drive or ride in an unheated car in Winnipeg during the winter.

I honestly want the black one above the VW-jet. Anyone have ideas on where that came from? That's an awesome mod, I'd love to try my hand at it.

Yes it is. It's been chopped, fenders removed, and had the torsion front suspension replaced by radius rod/solid front axle much like an old model T Ford. Check out volksrod.comhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fezGuuvvxxI

It's pre photoshop, the one with PP400B on the license plate.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:TeddyVWad.jpgThat one is from a National Lampoon magazine in the late 70s. The caption read "If Ted Kennedy drove a Volkswagen he'd be president today"
