youtube.com— It turns out that Fred and Barney smoked Winstons. People forget that the Flintstones where originally geared for adults, and debuted in prime-time.

I hear ya, I quit smoking a year ago, and I'm still craving a smoke..... even seeing that commercial made me get a little anxious...it's amazing how addicitive thos things are.... good for you though for quitting!
Thats amazing! I remember as a kid my folks would smoke while shopping for gorceries! You could also smoke in movie theaters...I've been cig free for 7 months now!!SjN
I have this clip along with about 150 others on an old CD I bought at Fry's Electronics back in the mid-1990s for abour $3.00. "TV Commercials of the 50's and 60's" was in the bargain CD bin the same day I walked out of the store with my very first CD-ROM drive, that set me back about $55. Since cigarette commercials were banned in the 1970's it's really interesting to see how they were marketed back then.
My childhood memories have now been tainted in a yucky, I can't smell or taste anything, my lungs are filled with Cancer, I smell bad and Barney and Fred are slowly committing suicide kind of way.sigh...........I quit smoking 8 years ago. Woo Hoo!!!! My sister smokes Winston.....yuck.

Digg needs to improve their search feature and dupe warning. No disrespect intended towards the submitter, and I'm glad people got to see it, but man ... dupes are out of control.http://www.digg.com/tech_news/Flintstones_Cigarette_Commercial_2
