engadget.com— The Firefly solves that nagging battlefield problem of needing a quick look over the next hill, by deploying a disposable ballistic camera from a standard-issue, rifled-mounted grenade launcher

You want these available commercially so you too can fire them from the M203 grenade launcher mounted under your M16?I think this is going to be strictly military hardware. There really aren't any commercial uses for something like this which aren't already covered by cheaper products. Unless you plan on firing one over your neighbor's yard while she's sunbathing...
I like the idea, I even like the post this post links too, I just don't like it being posted to digg when it is already on a site that is already trying to popularize it. It's like the lazy posts from slashdot... do a little more work and post something direct to the info or some other news/info.
@hebrewhammer913: I think you're missing the point. It's not the story itself that people are taking offense to, but the fact that a lot of the them are coming from Engadget recently. If we wanted to read a dearth of articles from there, we would just go to Engadget. Variety is the spice of life, after all ;)BTW, thanks for that link, mutant!
I was an infantry man for a while and we were supposed to get stuff like this AND NEVER DID. We couldn't even get Armor for our vehicles. I rather have a few guys recon the area than look at crappy pictures on some PDA That will run out of batteries in 2 hours.
