I am building a house in the country with septic and well. Over the next five years most of the electricity the house requires will derive from solar and wind. It does use natural gas for heating and cooking, but the gas is from local wells and processed in local facilities.What are you doing?Oh, and for what it's worth, I disagree with proponents of human-centric global warming. Al Gore and his hypocritical followers have nothing to do with my choices. I was active in environmental issues when Al Gore was still trying to figure out the difference between warming and cooling trends.

But is that creating global warming? I think most everyone would agree that the earth is warming but this is cyclical and natural. Define "largely responsible" and "unprecedented" ? The earth is over 4 billion years old. How can you say there has not been a rapid increase in the past ?

@gwhenning. while in general you are correct, the thing is every source of data, not just the guys in question show the same trends. Unless you believe every climatologist ever decided to fudge the numbers we can't assume it's all invalid from a few vague emails which have been explained. That's like whenever you find 1 medical study being shown to have fudged data and you recommend we overhaul all our medical knowledge and start back with proving bacteria cause diseases.

Here's all the scientific evidance anyone needs. The earth has gone through many cooling and warming phases and it always will. I grew up on the southern tip of Lake Michigan which was formed when the glaciers retreated during a warming period not influenced by man. Greenland in the not to distant past was warm enough to grow crops, again not influenced by man. The earth experienced an ice age that destroyed many cold blooded species, again not influenced by man. How in the world did science pick CO2 (emissions?) to be a contributor? The reason is CO2 is the one gas that cannot be eliminated or minimized, so it will always be there to further the cause of Leftists. I'll go with vast Mother Earth evidance unti proven otherwise.
