To say that stimulus spending is going to 'fix' the economy is incorrect. It's intended effect is to get people working and to shore up the losses until the economy begins to correct itself. Once people begin to feel that the worst is past us, then things will recover. This is intended to make it as painless as possible until that happens and to maybe increase the nations confidence and buying power. Not to mention, a lot of the infrastructure investment from the government in this bill is long overdue.If nothing happens, things will be incredibly tight for a lot of people for a long time. How many months can we go losing 500,000 jobs like we did in January?
What goes on in any economy may be emotional in the short run but in the long run the facts prevail. Thank goodness for that. What's missing now is Reason.

That's an interesting diatribe, but until I see evidence, it's just speculation. I want real numbers. If it's this true, it should be easy. To borrow a phrase from everyone's favorite encyclopedia that anyone can edit, "[citation needed]".
