Well, the idea of him not being behind it is compelling. Obviously the government doesnt care about catching him, that is a big plus for any notion that we think he did it. We also stir up a lot of trouble and call almost anything a terrorist or an Osama follower and many are proven to not be. Him saying he did doesn't really make it worth while. People say Reagan ended the cold war and he gets credit for that, but that is total fiction.
I don't believe anything I read on Wikipedia unless there are references to back up the statements. I still use it all the time, it's a wonderful tool for learning and exploring vast amounts of cross-referenced knowledge. You have to use your own judgement as to the factuality of the content - just like anything else.
