cannabisconsumers.org — The cannabis "marijuana" or hash high is different for each person, depending on the particular details of conditions, setting, timing, state of mind, and the variety of cannabis used. Although cannabis is generally pretty benign, nothing is always safe and fun for everyone in every situation.

yes, you should smoke.

Ever since I hurt my back, I just can't smoke pot anymore. I have family members with MS who smoke because it helps to ease their chronic pain, and with the swelling of their optic nerves, but it has exactly the opposite effect on me and I find my muscles spasming uncontrollably, which irritates the arthritis, and the pain becomes damn near unbearable. It's unfortunate, really.

@ Chipwar1. "Idiosyncracies" is not a word. "Idiosyncrasies" is a word. I would tell you to look it up in a dictionary, but that is not the pseudointellectual way.2. Fatalistic/intert world view? According to whom? Could you please provide evidence of this? Feeling lazy does not mean you feel the world is inevitable. If pot made you think this way, then why did so many hippies want to change everything? No I'm not retarded, and at least I know sentence structure.3. Pothead loser? I'm 24 and I have an education and a $650,000 house. Of course, I must not see any of that because I have a fatalistic/intert world view. I guess I'll just start living on the streets. Jackass.

moderation people...that's the key with anything... From eating red meat to eating ice cream to drinking beer, coffee, or smoking weed.

That sucks. I'd like to make a suggestion though. If you want to still try to use marijuana to control pain, try either a different strain or a different method of use. I hae heard that eating pot works better on pain than smoking it in some people. I alo know from experince that different strains of pot and pot that is the same strain but has been cured for different amounts of time have different effects. For example, I use pot to help with my anxiety. I grew some with a friend who had khron's disease. She was very impatient and wanted to harvest early. As soon as she harvested it (way too early IMHO) she wanted to smoke it with no curing time. It told her she could do what ever she wanted with her half but, I was waiting to smoke mine. Every time I smoked her half that had not been cured, I felt like I was having the physical symptoms of a panic attack. Cold sweat, twitchy stomache muscles, shakey hands. A few weeks later, I started to smoke my pot that had been crying and curing in mason jars. It was completely different. Very mellow and claming.I beleive this effect is due to the way CBD breaks down into THC and then into CBN. Its been a while since I studied pot chemistry but I believe that is the proper order. They way I understand it, the ratio of THC to CBN controls the type of high and how long it lasts for. A higher THC to CBN ratio makes for a more 'up' and quicker high but, can also cause the panic symptoms like muscle spasms. The higer CBN to THC has the opposite effect on both length and feel. Some of what determines the ratio is the strain and some is the time and way it is cured.

that's some solid statistics at work right there.

@ Pothead Loser1. "Idiosyncracies" is not a word. "Idiosyncrasies" is a word. I would tell you to look it up in a dictionary, but that is not the pseudointellectual way.If I had said the non-word "idiosyncracies" in a way that was inaudibly different from the correctly spelled "idiosyncrasies," would you have been able to tell that I didn't know how to spell it? And if you did know that I didn't know how to spell it, even though I PRONOUNCED it in the correct way, would you suddenly not have been able to understand the meaning of the word just because you knew that I didn't know how to spell it? Are you retarded?2. Fatalistic/intert world view? According to whom? Could you please provide evidence of this? Feeling lazy does not mean you feel the world is inevitable. If pot made you think this way, then why did so many hippies want to change everything? No I'm not retarded, and at least I know sentence structure. The answer isn't "why did the hippies want to change everything" but "why didn't the hippies change anything successfully." Answer: pot. Sucks you into the system while making you feel like a rebel.3. Pothead loser? I'm 24 and I have an education and a $650,000 house. Of course, I must not see any of that because I have a fatalistic/intert world view. I guess I'll just start living on the streets. Jackass.A. The word is "inert" not "intert." So I can't understand what you meant.B. Your having an "education" and a "$650,000 house" is what makes you a typical capitalist American pothead loser. One loser's American Dream is another hero's fatalistic nightmare of extreme loserdom.

@hangarObviously you haven't done very much research. There are three different species in the Genus Cannabis:Cannabis sativaCannabis indicaCannabis ruderalisAlthough there is some debate whether indica and ruderalis are subspecies of stavia, the general consensus is indica and ruderalis are there own species.

IMO just legalize it then tax the f**k out of it. That way stoners are happy, the government's happy, everyone wins. Spend the money earned on educating people on the real effects of alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs, so that they can make their own educated decision about it.

All I know is that from you've got 'erb your getting pussy! Why do girls free it up as soon as there's weed about? Not that I'm complaining of course........

I can't speak highly enough of weed in terms of creativity. I'd have to disagree with you though Greenjohn about the causes of paranoia, there are tens of adults like myself who get dope-anxiety who don't feel at all guilty when they smoke. I'm an adult, I smoke in my own home and I don't care who knows it, but I still used to suffer from anxiety on occassion. I think everyone who gets it should read 'Cannabis & Meditation' at, HeadstuffBooks.com, it really is very simple to solve and nothing at all to do with real paranoia or mental illness.D
