blogs.sfweekly.com — Every year since 1983, the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) has engaged in a quixotic quest to "eradicate marijuana" in California. And every single year -- all 26 of them -- it has failed miserably as marijuana became more and more available.

Shouldn't California be making tax money from marijuana, instead of spending tax money to drive marijuana growers into the hills and national parks?

Why don't they hold a vote and let the actual public decide what should be done about the issue of marijuana/drug prohibition?

I am for legalization but that is not the point of this post. What if instead of eradicating plants found outdoors or busting indoor growers they just did nothing? People who smoke recreationally would still smoke recreationally, but people trying to make a living as drug dealers (ie. cartels/gangs) would take a serious hit. The supply would be so high that, the prices would drop through the floor.
