Most have taken a step back and completely ignored most of what's advanced and continued to live their lives without it. Some people don't need a heck of a lot of technology to get by.However, as is evident if one's ever tried to teach their technologically-illiterate relative even the simplest of tasks, it's incredibly difficult to grasp and is often overwhelming.

All that, and no mention of AV-Receivers? High resolution surround sound is more important to me than HD Video. It's a shame SACD and DVD-A were never promoted and pushed to the mainstream market like Blu-Ray.
