darfurwall.org — The numbers 1 to 400,000 cover The Darfur Wall. Each number represents a person killed in Darfur. By donating $1 or more, you can light a number, turning it from dark gray to brilliant white. As we light the wall, we acknowledge the importance of each life lost, cast light upon a tragedy too many have ignored, and overcome one barrier to peace.

Individually, what we can do about the cruel tragedy in Darfur is limited. By joining together we can make an impact. Join with 400,000 other people to make a statement and provide meaningful relief to the people of Darfur.

This is a really meaningful cause and they give 100% (after paypal fees) to charities helping out in Darfur. Please pass it on and help them raise heaps!

This is very cool, no minimum to donate and I'm a sucker for the slick yet flash-free interface. Great idea!!

Simple, to the point, no whining or pressure, and when you see your little number light up it feels good. To think each one is a life lost.

Cool site for a great cause. I saw Jonah present for this at Ignite Seattle last night and was impressed with the idea and the execution. Let's get those panels lit!

I donated, and I'm glad to at least make a small difference.I hope that they're arranging with PayPal and the required authorities to maybe mitigate the costs for them from PayPal transactions so they can give more of the proceeds to the charities they're collecting for! I can imagine the standard transaction fee takes a big chunk out of small donations, which is exactly why I donated more than a few bucks. Hardly worth it if everyone just donates $1, cause PayPal would take most of it (the bastards).

Excellent site. It is already a wonderful thing to make a donation - but to see an interactive result of making one is a very smart way to get more people to donate. Great site for a needy cause. Keep up the good work!

This is an interesting (and sobering!) way to get people's attention about Darfur. It's a great cause, and one that needs as much attention as possible.

I wish I could do more, but I do know if we all did this much, it WOULD be enough! Thank you for reminding us we CAN make a difference. There is always strength in numbers.

It gives me hope when I see people of our generation actually doing something to make a difference. Jonah, I've very proud of you & will promote your site like it's nobody's business!

Found this site in ad on weather.com. Always wanted to help. Didn't know how to without getting ripped off. Thank you for your good work. I hope the horror stops.

I amongst many am deeply saddened by the events that have occurred in Darfur. I have been humbled even more so by this opportunity to participate and contribute. I think progression and REVOLUTION starts with one person and anything is possibe. I am truly blessed to have had this chance.
