arstechnica.com — The Daily Show is much funnier than traditional newscasts, but a new study from Indiana University says it has the same amount of meat on its bones when it comes to coverage of the news. The brand of news coverage Jon Stewart and the rest of The Daily Show's staff brings to the airwaves is just as substantive as traditional news programs.

"No, American's are not superior, universally, they just happen to live in the same country as me, so they get preference."I can sort of understand that. But a 10,000:1 ratio is way to preferential, IMO. " Although America didn't just stumble into being a world power, it wasn't an accident. We're obviously a very competent group of human beings to be in the position of power we're in."Correction: We WERE a group of competent human beings. I've seen very little prooving that we still are.

Other than Olbermann, can anyone name an outright liberal host on any cable news channel? Can a show have a liberal bias with no liberal host?

Sure it is as substantive as what the typical Digg user considers as "real" news. It has an extreme liberal spin on it. This makes pretty much matches it up with every news outlet out there aside from Fox.

Weasel word of the month: "Substantive".Example: A leftist comedy show is as substantive as the real news.PS.: Reported as inacurate. No matter how much you freaking bastards try to spin and fool people to believe your propaganda, the Dems will still lose because they are now the Party of the Cut and Run.

This is sad....I'm thinking back to a quote from Jon Stewart a few years back. "It has come to my attention that many of you are using The Daily Show as your primary news source. DON'T DO THAT! WE MAKE STUFF UP!" Yep, there's a news show I'm gonna trust. Then again, I don't trust any of the mainstream news media either, so I guess that makes them about even.

Who is as conservative on Fox, besides Hannity who is on a combo show with Colmes, as Olberman is liberal? Don't say O'Reilley, because he is far from a conservative on many topics.Greta isn't really political from what I've seen, she's just tragedy TV with court cases and/or lost women.I think Shepard Smith would be ultra-conservative if given an opinion-based show, but he mostly has to do "the news",

@burymeIts not that Digg doesn't have has a balanced political spectrum. Its more like the entire human population thinks one way and you guys think another. Digg just reflects that. The only place that is fair and balanced to you is FOX news and the like which spoon feed you what u want to hear and since thats the only thing your brain doesn't autmatically block out you go on thinking you live in reality.
