OneTrack: Bush has always reminded me of Zaphod in Hithchikers Guide. I can't remember the exact quote but it's along the lines of "The Galactic President holds no real power. He is merely there to distract attention away from those who do."Do I believe the BBC were "in on it"? Of course not. But something is very, very odd here. If nothing else, where is the BBC's apology for misreporting? Usually when a news organization makes a mistake (saying something has happened when it hasn't) they will correct themselves later. And the BBC claim they've lost the footage of all this...Very strange. Just another of the many questions raised by 9/11.
This reminds me of Robert Maxwell in the UK. Owner of Mirror Group newspapers. Private Eye magazine accused him of embezzeling his employees pensions. Private Eye were in BIG TROUBLE and would have been bankrupted by the court case for libel as it was all being denied.Except Maxwell, a while later, fell off his yacht, died, and it all came out that they'd actually been completely right.
