Wow. What a head trip to see all of these Sony Walkmans again. Thanks you, Al Pacino, for sharing this with us.Really makes me appreciate all the portable audio technology we have nowadays.+ digg
P.S. For those people complaining that "Walkman" is a Sony trademark, you are all missing the point. Walkman's became so popular, that eventually the brand-name name "Walkman" became the general term when speaking of any portable player, even non Sony devices. A modern day example of this would be when someone asks you if you have a "Kleenex". They don't mean they specifically want a brand-name "Kleenex" tissue, they just use "Kleenex" as a general term for a tissue. Interestingly enough, a few months ago I had thought about this exact subject when I noticed the beginning stages of the name "iPod" going down this same road.
No Digg. I am not going to go through that whole long page clicking every link to see the tiny photos. Why the hell didn't they put the images inline on the page? Stupid webmaster.
Wow what a flashback to my youth. I have had several models of the sony walkmans listed there. I had the Sony wm-10. It was great till it broke. It was really thin. I have the newer version of the wm-f5 that has auto reverse and is waterproof like that. I dropped it once and now when i switch the direction of the tape it plays the first side backwards. I used it for listening to stuff that was backward masked before I had a pc and could do it in the computer. The beatles Revolution 9 song had all sorts of stuff backwards in it cool stuff.

I loved my WM-1 until it was stolen. Does anyone remember the demo tape that came with it?
