The advice I've always heard re: .44 Mag in grizzly country is to file the front sight of the revolver down nice and smooth, so it won't be as uncomfortable when the bear jams the gun up your ass.I personally would take either a .50 AE or S&W .500 with me if I couldn't have the 12 gauge.
