Obviously, I was using hyberbole, but you can't deny that the wine list is usually many, many pages long while the beer selection fits at the end of the regular menu.Off the top of my head, the Dining Room & Michael Mina's in SF, Arcadia in SJ, Manressa in Los Gatos all had s**tastic beer selections for such expensive places.And please do inform me, aside from the brew-pubs, which place actually has DOZENS of beers on tap and DECENT food. Not too many, I'm betting.Personally, my favorite restaurant with a great beer selection is Shalimar in the Tenderloin. It has a liquor store right next door.
Why can't you tell it to her face? I think honesty is the best approach in a relationship...one shouldn't put their friends before their spouse anyway. If something about my wife's friends pisses me off I wouldn't keep that s**t bottled up.
Or, someone capable of seeing more than puddle deep might see that spicy things go better with beer.How much Thai food or wings do you have without ordering at a bar or restaurant? Steaks are eaten off my grill.Dumbass.

It is Canadian, but I believe it is done in a Belgian style. If I'm wrong, please correct me. I would hate to drink a beverage under false pretenses.
