When it comes to Adam Lambert, gay organizations should either ignore the guy or condemn his behavior. He does nothing to help the image of gay people. A Neil Patrick Harris he is not.
Condemn him for what? Being himself? Why have the double standard? If you look at the majority of the videos on MTV most of the women are 98% naked. They do it, because it sells. Adam Lambert does it, because it sells. When "Fight the Power" came out it didn't get any mainstream acclaim, in fact they hated it - but it sold. The only thing Adam Lambert is guilty of is kissing a guy on stage - and apparently that's too naughty for most of America. When then change the damn channel. He's on the Top 10 charts - he's not going anywhere...sorry you are so homophobic.
What the hell is a gerbal and why is it in his ass? Is it going to explode? Oh god, it's going to explode. JESUS CHRIST, GET THAT GERBAL OUT OF YOUR ASS, HELIUM!!
again, DrTreez, because it was a homosexual act, that was why it was even considered controversial. My point is that hetero-centric highly erotic acts are a-ok in our society, but if it's the slightest bit homo then everyone is up in arms.
"they're artists, their job is to push the envelope."They aren't artists, they're entertainers; however, I would hardly call what Lambert did either.
Adam Lambert had the right to do what he did as a performance, he doesn't have the right to do or say what he wants w/o repercussions. Free speech doesn't protect you from backlash. If ABC's viewers complain, and ABC determines they don't want to offend a segment of their audience, then ABC can do whatever they want to with their programming.
Other than being gay he is no different from other people is similar situations. Gay groups are not going to condemn him for this behavior; he may even be applauded by some groups for what he did.

So Kasha, are you suggesting that the hypocrisy that I described is acceptable because you deemed one as "normal"?
