Because they haven't hit their forties yet. Later they will probably swear off the stuff or suffer the consequences. When you are young, you can spend nature's capital (abuse your body) and not pay the consequences right away.
I still don't understand how/why people _don't_ check the nutrition facts... Ignorance? I'd like to see them put a "percentage of daily value" on Trans fat. The 500% (per serving) would be shocking to most.

a lot of in-n-out burgers place a limit on the number you can get. My local one will only go up to 4x4, not that I've ever gotten it anyway.

To hell with it. Just nip into the grocery store and pick up a piece of fruit and some crackers if you're hungry. Healthier and cheaper.
