it seems to me that your definition of "spirituality" is what turns you off to the concept. if you took the time to research and re-define "spirituality" to suit your personal perspective on existence then you could possibly use it in a positive light.waiting for everyone else to agree on a definition for you wont get you anywhere. it will never happen... simply because of the esoteric nature of the subject. its like insisting that the world produce an infallible guide to the interpretation of all abstract paintings. that is totally beside the point. its all about what you personally see in it.
Never mind the diggers. The typical digger is only interested in iPods, Apples, Linux, Jessica Alba, Wii, Jessica Biel, zombies, pirates, ninjas, liberalism, atheism, alcohol, marijuana, fitting in, looking cool, pretending like they're actually over 16 years old, blaming the world for their own failings, and in filling every moment with superfluous, mind-numbing tripe. They will knock anything that deviates from their wide, smooth road to groupthink and numbness. If they don't try to change some of the variables in their horribly faulty equation, they will never experience anything other than the boredom and disillusion that they are currently experiencing.Let them complain. Let them criticize. Let them digg me down. It doesn't change the facts.
I have read several of the books that she recommends. If you havent read Tolle, you really should give him a read. Its funny really, the very focus of his second book comes through in the majority of these posts, loud and clear. EGO. Unconsciousness.
The Power of Now is really an important book to read nowadays. From the title alone one can conclude that yesterday is history and tomorrow's still a mystery. Live with the Power of Now
I believe when you find success to be more than just material riches, and you find your inner wealth, that is true success. When you find connection to spirit, when you serve others, when you forgive and love unconditionally, that is success. When you find your internal success, your external, material, success will manifest easily and effortlessly.
I have been experiencing my own mind healing myself. I met a teacher and healer named Dr. Sha. I first learned of him through a movie screening named "Soul Masters. www.soulmasters.com Which is a documentary about his work and his teacher in China Dr. Guo.I was very moved by the real life examples they showed in the movie. So I started to read some of his books and then attenended some of his trainings. Every day my life is getting better and better. I am learning techniques that are simple and dont take much time and that work. He teaches things to help heal not only myself, but to help other people as well. His web site is www.drsha.com. Go read more.He is amazing. I feel joy bubbling up inside my heart, and I find I am looking forward to each day and to the future. Also I am finding more and more peace inside myself so less worry is taking over.I know for myself that this works. And anyone can learn to do it for themselves.
Please be careful with that sort of "off hand" careless commenting. It shows that one has not put care into considering someone's point of view. If you really feel that way then perhaps it would be best not to express your state of mind to others until it improves to a more thoughtful, healthy and happy approach for the benefit of all.
And also "Stillness Speaks", and "A New Earth" continue that road to awakening. It is nice to meet others on the road to awakening mindvestment. Hope to 'see' you around.

Success is our goal and we want to get it anyhow. So that I believe when you find success to be more than just material riches, and you find your inner wealth, that is true success.
