A guy traveling with me (notice, not a friend, just happened to be going to the same meeting) a couple of years ago had a rather large carry-on bag with a box cutter in it...he didn't get stopped by security until the return trip. While searching for the box cutter, TSA also pulled out a navigation compass (with the little pointy ends) and a metal ruler they thought was dangerous...all of this was in his bag on the flight to the meeting. Best of all, he didn't understand why they would take his box cutter away.

Is that the point of the story? No. This is disgusting, telling him to "be careful of what he says". What happened to the freedom of speech we used to have? Wishing someone a happy holiday is threatening now?
