I agree with Chrono Cross being on this list. Chrono Trigger is my favorite rpg and when I booted up Chrono Cross for the first time I was left scratching my head. It didn't feel like it was part of what I thought Chrono was at all and in this disappointment I could never get into it. I'm sure it's probably a great rpg, but with the Chrono name on it, people expect, well, Crono to be there.

My comment applies to all Final Fantasy games. They carry the name, but they are completely separate and independent games, so I wouldn't consider them true sequels either. Well, except for FFX-2, which could have made the list if FFX was a superb game (which it wasn't).

Super Mario 2 was not even a sequel... Super Mario "the Lost Levels" was the true super mario bros sequel which was never released due to american gamers being dumbasses who cant beat a "hard" game
