The whole movie was a dream. The layer of "reality" in the movie was Cobb's dream. His wife was right when she killed herself to get back to the real world.
All Cobb achieved through all the running around, letting her projection go in level 5/6/whatever and accepting his children in the level where they got off the plane and went to America... All he achieved through all this was to further entrench himself in the notion that this was the real world - he didn't even wait to see if the top kept spinning. He's still stuck at least one level down.
Look at all the weird faceless projections trying to attack him as he goes all over the world... Look at how vague and disjointed the timing is, even in the "reality" layer. Look at the fact that his kids hadn't aged in all the time since he last saw them, and how they were still outside in the back yard of his memory.
The whooole thing was a dream. This infographic is missing at least one layer on top.

The best movie of 2010! The best part is we have to ask question and answer it by ourselves. I think the whole film is a dream. You can say it's donn's dream or his wife's dream.
