@procras, i disagree, during the summer time, when i am not in school and don't have a job, my sleep pattern eventually slips into something like this 6 day week. it's time for us to evolve.
This can never possible work. we are NOT a weekend weekday society. what happens to the poor SLEPT who has to WORK on this supposed amazing weekend and happens to have his days off when its freaking DARK all fraking day.yeah that would work so freaking well and NOTHING is gained. my work day is 2 hours LONGER every single day.I dont GAIN 4 hours a day. I gain 4 hours a day and then LOSE an entire day.Chris Taylor<a class="user" href="http://www.nerys.com/">http://www.nerys.com/</a>
"Why not just adopt a 10 hour work day?No need to replace all of our clocks and watches.I could easily work an extra 2 hours a day for 4 days if it meant a 3 day weekend."This is what my work schedule is. It's awesome to have every Friday off, and when there is a statutory holiday that falls on Friday or Monday... Hello 4 day weekend!
"This is just one of many attempts for scientists to try to defeat Christianity."So often I hear of "christians being persecuted" but have yet to see it. I guess it's because christians take everything that doesn't jive with the superstitions of a Bronze Age tribe of nomadic goat herders as a personal attack.
Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, Stupid! The 24 hour days are not just some haphazard alignment of time; it relates very closely to the length of time for one complete revolution of the Earth. If we as humans can't handle that too damn bad. The Earth isn't going to slow down because we want it to. If your "biorhythms" are not in sink with the Earths I recommend trying a little harder to leave. I heard the moon is pleasant this time of year.
People living North of the Arctic circle have been doing it for thousands of years. If you knew anything about geography or anthropology you'd have already known that.

Bora Zivkovic's blog "Circadiana" covered this briefly a few months ago. The expert's opinion: "...sounds great on paper, especially if you are a techno-geek and don't go out much. However, this schedule ignores biology and will KILL you."<a class="user" href="http://circadiana.blogspot.com/2005/06/28-hour-day.html">http://circadiana.blogspot.com/2005/06/28-hour-day.html</a>Read his other stuff. It's fascinating.
