listology.com— Scripts, books, treatments and other ideas that just never got off the ground. Well, "I Am Legend" finally did, so maybe there's hope for the others.

There have already been two lose adaptations of the book, one with Vincent Price (The Last man on Earth) and the other with Charlton Heston (The Omega Man). Both were great imho, and this new adaptation might be good as well, but I fear for Will Smith's acting ability.
So many fantasy, sci-fi, horror and adventure novels would make way better movies than the trash currently pretending to be hit moviesAs for classics one word Dante
No s**t. It's just as bad as some of the wannabe socialist types who assume that everything in the private sector is totally corrupted and out to screw up the world.
Well, the draft with Doc-Ock and Liz Allan had many different people (including Cameron) credited with the writing, so I don't think it was representative of what Cameron wanted to do. Cameron probably tried to salvage the draft and later decided he wasn't going to do it.However the one with Sandman and Electro was written solely by Cameron.

I would personally love to see a well done version of snow crash on the big screen. Also, Altered Carbon by Richard K Morgan

#1 on my list would be Chris Cunningham's Neuromancer.

Apocalypse Now is heavily based on Heart of Darkness. It's the same story, just a different setting. Much like many Shakespeare adaptions.
