"because you have to agree that most people think these endings were shocking"Funny, but I only seem to meet people on the internet that think this. I don't know a SINGLE person IRL that didn't see the Sixth Sense ending coming, starting with the 4 people I saw it with at the cinema. It was telegraphed a mile off. I think this review probably sums it up best: <a class="user" href="http://www.reelviews.net/movies/s/sixth_sense.html">http://www.reelviews.net/movies/s/sixth_sense.html</a>I know a few people who found Se7en shocking, in the sense of 'horrific', but not surprising. When John Doe is going on and on about how he envies Pitt's character and wants to be like him, was it really such a big shock when he reveals what's in the box? Cos I struggle to imagine anyone not cottoning on within about 15 seconds of the delivery guy showing up.
Not everyone clearly sees things a mile off. Congrats at some of you for paying close attention to some of these twist movies, but even the brightest of people don't see some of these endings coming. Even if you do see stuff coming a mile off, don't you still enjoy the ride, even? What is really in the box, by the way? We never get to see it :)I hope daebat, BTW, comes back to enlighten us on what endings he finds to be better than these movies. I'm always interested in getting turned onto new movies.
