popcrunch.com — While many of the twists have become so well known in the ensuing years as to lost much of their sting, if you can imagine watching these broadcasts in the 60s on an old black and white set, you might just get a feel for how revolutionary it was. Here, in my humble opinion, are 14 of the best episodes of this series.

One For The Angels was also a classic... about the pitchman on the sidewalk who tries to cheat death.

The Bewitchin' Pool should have been on there, that one always stayed with me. Also The Changing of The Guard, which I thought was brilliant.

What are you talking about? The inevitble plot twist was well implemented and not heavy-handed for once and it was actually quite suspenseful when they think the looters are coming. I thought it was a very good episode. Now "five characters..." on the other hand...

Those of us with a shred of intelligence knew not to read. Forgive the author for not assuming we're all idiots.

Burgess Meredith also had another great episode in "The Obsolete Man". Carol Burnett was in one that I think was great. "The Hunt" was another one that I really enjoyed. Oh, so many classics...

Every episode is great. My favorite are Death's Head Revisited, A Passage For Trumpet, and The Obsolete Man.

The Howling Man is most certainly the best episode. All of The Twilight Zone is great though. It's been a huge influence on my writing.

Tragic. I guess I'm the only one who's going to stick up for "Number Nine Looks Just Like Me". Its one of the few episodes that still correlates with society today. But none of you other numbers would get that...I'm going to have to go undigg this article now. Its criminal to have overlooked this episode and the great "The Obsolete Man" and "Living Doll". ("Nick of Time" was weak, as was "A Stop at Willoughby", and "5 Characters" was just an "avant-garde" existential ripoff of Sarte or Camus.)
