"I find the Non-Mexican personally racist...what does Mexican have to do with anything?"Im Mexican, and believe me our shows are REALLY, REALLY Stupid (specially soap operas and specially CHILDREN soap operas) as much as I would like to, I cant think on a single Mexican show I could use to prove otherwise. Because there isn“t one. (maybe "el chavo" or "chapulin colorado" but in all fairness they are stupid on purpose)For some reason every television station in Mexico believes the entire world is comprised of people with an IQ of 80 a boob fetish (ok thats understandable) Alzheimer (because every show is exactly like the last freakin one) has never seen the shows they blatantly copied from or still buys the super corny walt disney 50's recipe for the win. " Love and believing in god can solve anything." (yeah they are THAT corny)A good 90% of the population just ignore them and watch good american TV instead. (the Simpsons is the most watched show here, and the translation job is awesome!)
"It should have said Mexican / japanese" No man, theres some great Japanese shows, Anime specially, we Mexicans have none, zero, finito, nothing, nada, ni madres, absolutely freaking NOTHING Is embarrasing but is true.
It's all a matter of timing. America was flying high after WW2 and a show making fun of Nazi's was a concept readily accepted. Now the comment on MASH, making a comedy about another war while we were emotionally battling the aftermath of Vietnam, now that's a risky venture. You would think it was more of a drama than a comedy (and after Colonel Blake's death, the show did take a dark turn, becoming less a comedy and more of a soapbox for Alan Alda.)
Bosom Buddies was a very good show. It gave Tom Hanks his start. I laughed when I saw the # 1 choice never even hear of it. I loved the empty box that said "no other photo available seriously that's it." That's histerical.
