spike.com — You would think if a song went to #1 on the charts it would have some kind of redeeming quality. Even if it wasn?t your favorite genre of music, I?m sure you could find one reason why everybody was raving about it so much. So how do songs that have with no originality or creativity what so ever hit it big with the masses? My only guess is stupidity

f**king buried for the fact that Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up is on a "worst..." list. For shame, for shame.

So. I actually like all of these songs. They are all guilty pleasures of mine or they bring a smile to my face. Except Batdance (aka Prince trying to redo Thriller but failing miserably??). I'm Too Sexy makes me laugh because I think of the Snape "I'm Too Sexy" flash movie some Harry Potter fans did. Otherwise the song IS annoying. And You're Beautiful was good the first few times I heard it, but it's too overplayed.Of course, I'm not exactly Spike TV's demographic (being the wrong age and wrong gender.). So I'll go put my earbuds in and put Spice Girls on shuffle, thankyouverymuch.P.S. Does the author secretly like *NSync? Because he put Backstreet Boys up on the list and NOT *NSync. That's a sign of a true fan if I ever saw one. :-p
