filmcynic.com — Much like a movie’s trailer, the sole purpose of the poster is to entice you into seeing a particular film. When properly designed, they can draw in scores of viewers to an otherwise average (or below-average) movie. And when they’re botched, well, bad posters can also serve as the final nail in the coffin for an impending box-office flop.

The superman poster wasn't nearly as bad as he described it to be, and didn't deserve anywhere near 1st place on the list.

Yeah, I couldnt imagine anything better for Aristocrats. Also, even though the Superman poster is pretty bad, I don't know how the guy can call it an example of "mailing it in" when its a hand painted poster that obviously someone put some intense work into.

He isn't talking about the DVD cover. He talks about the dog, which isn't on the poster he shows, but is in on the DVD cover. He also talks about Big Momma in her swimsuit, which isn't on the DVD cover.

They forgot "Chairman of the Board," with Carrot Top. Just seeing his hideous face on a movie poster should qualify that poster for the bottom 5.

What about ever movie poster that only shows half of each actors face against a black background.

Yawning and laughing at the same time is a VERY weird experience.

If you stare at the Aristocrats poster for a solid 30 seconds, you'll see the image of a grandfather eye-f**king his grandson. Here's the kicker: the grandson was a miscarriage. Clever advertising if you ask me.

This guy clearly hasnt seen brick. If he had he would have known that Joseph Gordon-Levitt didnt play "the pin" who is the character in the poster it was Lukas Haas
