I'm NOT trying to bring women down here so don't take it at all that way and hear me out.Women are NOT "equal" to men... heck men are not "equal" and if i didn't loose you right there in a fit of rage I'd like you to read this from "Screwtape Proposes a Toast" by C.S. Lewis especially the part about democracy... He is such a good writer and it fits so well... "the Screwtape Letters" are the best read I've had. So when a woman needs help moving something she goes and asks a man to help her... when a woman can't open the pickle jar she hands it to the man... again this does not mean she is less of a person or that she is helpless... what it does mean though is that the role of protector and provider has been given to the man and the role of mother has been given to the woman... This is natural but doesn't mean that these are fixed roles... women today are allowed to work while dads stay at home this is especially due to the fact that there are many more jobs out there today that women can do equally well as men... landscaping... heavy construction... any hard labor jobs they can't (as well as men) but today there are many many more office jobs out there.Men... instinctively have it ingrained in them (maybe by their mothers) that they must protect women... and there is nothing wrong with that. Men will hold a door for a women out of respect not because she can't hold the door... they hold it for friends and older people too. So when a women says I don't need you to hold the door... its like her spitting in his face... he's going to feel like slamming it in her face because she doesn't seem like a woman worth respecting OR protecting.In the world today people men and women alike are more likely to listen to a man than a women... the reason... because men are much more opposing figures... they are bigger and have deeper voices it gives them the advantage of seeming more confident. If a woman wants to be heard she has to absolutely drip confidence... and again... this is natural... you will NOT change this by protesting or disrespecting men. Men will allways be bigger and more opposing with deeper voices than women... Some men are bigger and more opposing with deeper voices than other men... guess who has the highest advantage.In my mind the truest feminist of all are the REAL men out there the ones that hold doors for girls... the ones that walk girls home at night so they don't get in trouble... the ones that actually care and respect women... anyone else who claims to be a feminist is either a man hater or narcissistic.Yes there a plenty countries in the world where women are being repressed and disrespected... but the US is NOT one of them.

hour for hour, in the same position, men make the same as women. it's when you remove that count that they don't, because men on average work a lot more hours. men also tend to work higher paying jobs on average which skews things even more. men are also a hell of a lot liklyer to die at work than women.
