It was revealed in Muppets from Space - <a class="user" href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0158811/">http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0158811/</a>He is actually very emo in the beginning of the movie , asking himself why he's all alone , what kind of creature he is and where he comes from ?He perks up after he is contacted by aliens .. his family .. and told to prepare for their arrival. Everyone else of course thinks he's nuts.
