The Cell and the Fall were the two movies, both by director Tarsem Singh, that came to my mind when i saw this headline.Did u know that ?The Fall? almost did not get made cos of production issues. Tarsem had to pay from his own pocket to get the movie done.I would like to suggest The Polar Express, Finding Nemo, Final Fantasy, Sleepy Hollow, Gatacca(not so sure abt this one though), Apocalypto and Beowolf for the next installment of this list.I would second Fountain, LOTR, Matrix, 300.

Agreed. AND more visually stunning than easily half the films on the list. Serenity is visually stunning in both little ways and big massive ways. There's a single shot right after River knocks her brother unconscious which alone is worth the price of admission. Near the beginning of the film there's one long camera shot (it's actually two but Whedon hides the cut as Simon & Malcolm walk down the stairs) that establishes all the main characters and gives newcomers a very pleasant tour of the entirety of the ship from the c**kpit to the cargo bay. That one shot sets the stage for a visual meal that I would argue rivals and challenges Sunshine. I mean Sunshine has some fantastic moments in it, but not as many as Serenity, and while Serenity doesn't have close-ups of a star, it's got several planets each with its own unique qualities and when you watch Serenity, you feel like you've been places. You feel both the claustrophobia of a starship and the expanse of outer space. I've changed my mind. Serenity gets first place, then Sunshine, then Princess Bride, then Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, then pretty much everything Akira Kurosawa has ever done. Then pretty much everything Alfred Hitchc**k has ever done, then Iron Giant and The Incredibles share a slot, then MAYBE the Lord of the Rings trilogy gets ONE slot, then MAYBE Fantasia (and we're just gonna let Fantasia represent everything Disney's ever done), then Diehard, and then I'd take another look at the original list and see what belongs after that. Ooh! No mention of Spielberg? Maybe he's not the best director and is a commercial sell-out, but you have to admit his stuff is visually stunning, from ET to Shindler's List. The Color Purple alone is just breathtaking from the mailbox at the beginning to the reunion at the end.

I agree. I'll put up Silent Hill and take down Transformers.

Really great after a bowl or seven.

The Fall is beautiful, but the plot completely falls apart pretty quickly and manages to be held together with very, very shiny scotch tape to distract you.Lee Pace and that little girl are awesome, though.
