thedeadbolt.com — It happens every year. Although most Oscar nominees are deserving of their nods, a lot of great films, actors, and directors fall by the wayside. Here's a look at the ten biggest Oscar snubs of the past year in film across several different categories.

Yeah, when I read the novel, the same thing happened and I noticed there was only one more page in the book, I just knew it was going to be the end.

I have to say that "The King of Kong" was probably my favorite movie, period, last year, even among non-documentary films. I invited a couple friends to see it (a couple gamers, a couple art-house movie buffs, with a degree of overlap) and one person told a friend, and that friend brought a friend, and before you knew it, there were at least 10 of us sitting together in a nearly empty theater (maybe 6 other people, not including our party.) even the non-gamers among us loved it, and to see it snubbed this way, and indeed, probably due to the fact that "its about those damned vidjamagames that those crazy kids play!" is just insulting.I've hated the awards for many years: to me, it seems like the "winners" are just designed to hit certain triggers to convince the academy to vote, rather than to be a good, entertaining, or thought provoking movie.

I'll say it again. 300 was nothing special. Was it pretty? Sure. Was it groundbreaking? No. Have we seen that kind of work before? Yes.

Okay so I spent 15 minutes going over every single bullet point in this one and I accidentally deleted it. Main points:Hated Juno-Ellen Page annoys me-they made her too quirky with her catchy one phrases and stupid hamburger phone-I squirmed the entire movie because I was so ready to bounce after the first 5 minutesI loved Rescue Dawn-how Bale, or even Zahn for that matter, didn't get an Oscar nod I don't understandKnocked Up and Superbad are two of the funniest movies I have seen in a very long time-I watched Knocked Up again on my honeymoon and it was even better the second timeZodiac was awesome and David Fincher is an amazing director (Fight Club, Seven)---It might have deserved a nomination , but not the win in my opinion-Ethan and Joel Coen and their No Country for Old Men (although I did fall asleep) was fantastic and they were slighted with no nomination in 1996 with Fargo
