What do you mean "even with Iran?" It is pretty f**king obvious that Iran is a much stronger state that Venezuela. The way you phrased makes it seem like: "Hey, how could we handle the big Venezuela right now when we can't even handle puny Iran." I mean, Iran may or may not have nukes. Venezuela absolutely does not have nukes;

as opposed to the Bush administration falsifying a war, and all that.i'm not denying some of the things Chavez has done, but the hypocrisy is astounding. I mean at least Venezuela can use the excuse it is a "developing" country.

it's ok people. “When there is a new government in the United States, we’ll send an ambassador,” Mr. Chávez said. Barak will win and we'll make friends again. But this is what happens when u meddle in other people's business, sometimes it backfires.

diggerine - there are more important things in the world than materials. I understand that I'm fortunate to have what I have and what not, but that doesn't give my conscience peace. I'd absolutely trade places before I sat around and watched MY corrupt government bully the world around, ruin economies globally, and put the country into a depression which would level out our earning exchange....Actually, sounds like I'm a little late.....

OMG. You must be living in a vacuum.Please check into any of the south American countries and how the CIA has assisted in the "liberation" of these countries, in some cases the country was liberated several times.Venezuela was one such liberated country. When the government was overthrown by "rebels/liberty fighters", the U.S. IMMEDIATELY recognized this new government. A couple of week later, Chevez was back in power and he was pissed.Oh yea, a known fact, the CIA tried 8 times to assassinate Castro.
