washingtonpost.com — U.S. prosecutors say they are entitled reveal the contents of a diary that portray a Texas businessman as so eager to win oil contracts from Saddam's government that he discussed the nature of the U.S. invasion with Iraqi officals, including anticipated troop numbers, timing and direction of attack and that he also encouraged opposition to the war.

BINGO!Perhaps this man's name was on the Guest list to Cheney's Energy Task Force Meeting? Not that I think it was much of a secret ... but how would he know something the average citizen doesn't?How did news reporters learn Valerie Plame's name and job? Same vector, Victor.

You realize that this man convinced Ted Kennedy to vote against the war so he could keep on making profits off of the oil for food that was supposed to help Iraqis but instead just went into Saddams pockets? The people scamming the oil for food money are a huge part of why Saddam didn't back down and just leave.

It's also what toppled Rome. But stupid folks never learn and the greedy never have enough, just like drug addicts. It's a real sickness, and it destroys countires from within.

During the LBJ years, power in Texas was held by Democrats. Back when LBJ was picked to run for VP, Bobby Kennedy was quoted as saying "none of this would have happened if we'd just have gotten some sleep." A commentary on how the political conventions were run. LBJ is considered by most Democrats to have been a huge mistake, and no one thought he could do much damage as a VP. A cowboy who got into office by chance. No matter what party he was in, he has committed treason.
