It can provide some pretty scary insight about how you associate race and either positive or negative ideas. In addition to learning something about yourself, you can add to Harvard's pool of data.

Didn't read through all the stuff on the site, but normal testing methodology for psych tests like this will randomly order the testing sequence across all the participants -- e.g. half get good+old first, the other half get good+young first. The results would be considered reliable IF (and only if) the ordering didn't have a significant statistical impact on the results and/or they were able to factor in the bias.

interesting test but i don't think its really accurate, for the same reasons others have mentioned. you get trained that old/bad or black/bad are on the same side - then its switched and you get confused. besides, it said i only had a "slight" preference of abraham lincoln to george bush and that's just WRONG

Which i 100% do.Now even though i prefer my own race against the opposite race. I don't consider myself racist. I dont treat whites differently i just prefer my own race. Just like Kathy Griffin or Ellen Degeneres prefers gays.It's going to be the same result for everyone who took this test. People prefer their own race. As long you dont act on that preference, everyone is happy.
