last i heard, it was certainly not a polite method. it was the way you do it until you learn to either eat or cut for the whole meal with your less dominant hand. i cared about learning this s**t when i was a very, very pretentious 19-year-old. now that i'm grown-up, i have a sense of proportion.

I have purchased at least 10 of these key chain knives from Amazon. Have given them as gifts to my adult children and their spouses and I have one on each key chain. The scissors works in a pinch and the knife blade is very versatile.
