Sure, I like Google and all, but this would produce a nightmare society. And did anyone else find those eyes perched atop the G really, really creepy? They're watching...
Google bar code? I'm sold... I mean... come on, I'm jewish after all. If it means saving a penny, I'm all for it. (no, seriously). On the other hand, some of that stuff should never be made. Google Storage and Google Crime Buster come to mind.
"Google Recommender" has been around for about a year now. It's called Watson and it's tied to more than just Google. Based on a Word document or a PowerPoint or an email you're reading or writing in Outlook, or a web page you're viewing, Watson will search for related information. You can configure Watson to search any number of sources, including whatever desktop search tool you have, and blog search engines like Technorati, so you don't have to worry about any one engine getting to know you a little too well.<a class="user" href="http://www.intellext.com/">http://www.intellext.com/</a>It does this without storing a profile or capturing your search history, so you can be less worried about your privacy. <a class="user" href="http://blogs.intellext.com/drjaysblog/2006/02/you_dont_have_t.html">http://blogs.intellext.com/drjaysblog/2006/02/you_dont_have_t.html</a>Check it out and let me know what you think.
