"who doesn't know about twitter?" People that don't know about Twitter? (just being a smart *ss. Sry. It's inherited) But, really, you'd be surprised how many people aren't aware of the advantages until they've heard it suggested to them by someone they trust.
As someone who has been a sustainability change agent for many years (face to face with business managers), I hope online social networking will help speed the rate of change. We shall see.
