Actually its a cost saving packaging system, Instead of streamlining Card board box with SN : A with Product number SN: A at final packaging just cut a hole where s/n of product be.

I did call Microsoft when my 360 went fault & they sent a replacement straight away.They also sent a replacement out a.s.a.p when the replacement went fault & when that went faulty... they sent out an 360 Elite & guess what???... That went faulty too (even though Microsoft went on record saying that all hardware faults had been resolved with the latest versions of the 360!!!)I've given up with Microsoft now due to their track record with console failures & I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one!Since my last 360 failed, I've switched back to Sony without any problems & I'm also enjoying online games without monthly subscription... So I'm more than happy with my PS3!Oh yes & as an added bonus, along with enjoying some awesome games for Christmas... I also received some great Blu-Ray movies which have just come off the cinema! Casino Royale anyone?
