I have a rather large collection of Hardy Boys, as well as Tom Swift, and I've read the Lucky Starr books as well. For Jurassic park was one of the most excellent reads I've ever had the pleasure of encountering.

I would like to know how many of these YA adult novels you have read? Being a bookstore employee, surely you have boned up on all the genres so that your comments are valid. No need to fear, your son will not be forced to read Grisham's The Firm. Educators still recognize the difference between pulp fiction and good literature. There are many YA novels that are well written and can be transforming for a teenager just as there is in adult literature.
