wacotrib.com — The Nuge's reaction to Paul McCartney's firing of several roadies for sneaking hamburgers while on tour. McCartney is a known animal rights activist and defender of PETA. According to Ted, it looks like he just can't "live and let live."

@CheckPlease:Do you not see the irony in defending McCartney's case versus Ted Nugent by arguing that Ted Nugent needs to drop his causes and start making good music, which he hasn't done since the 70s?Seems like the shoe fits on both feet here. Am I wrong?

01) Conservatives complain when "liberal" actors talk politics, but it's ok when Ted Nugent does?02) Ted defends the meat-eaters right to eat meat, but what about Paul's right not to hire people who eat meat?Buried.

McCartney is no different than these other Celebrity jerks who hop onto different rights movements, and bring attention to often silly matters (see: McCartney and the Canadian Seal Hunt). He's been up this way plenty of times to "raise awareness" about the absolutely terrible, job creating seal hunt- spits the typical PETA propaganda B.S.This is just as silly, nothing worse than one of these holy celebrity vegetarians pushing their agenda on others, especially when it means jobs.

"Especially here in the great Republic of Texas, a smiling, drooling preference for succulent, protein-rich, nutritious backstrap over aromatic mesquite coals is as American and natural and right as Mom, apple pie and the flag. It's beautiful, really."God that sentence made me hungry.

If you guys take every single word that Nuge says at takes value and get mad at him..that just fuels his fire. He says alot of these things just for the reaction. However, I think Nuge is right on this one. He once said Hillary should be shot in the face. Are you going to take that as a death threat and start filing charges against him? I dont like Hillary either, but you gotta realize this was just said for effect. He is an entertainer-and a very good one at that.

You know; I used to believe that PETA was a strange yet mostly alright group.(I love animals AND my cheeseburgers.)Until I found out how many animals they "put down" every year.Know the big money they bring in with those I'd rather go naked than wear fur ads? With all that money; they found 7 animals a new home.SEVEN.All year total.Know how many they killed last year?Google it.Animal lovers/animal rights activists, my ass.

McCartney has the right to do so because of "hire at will, fire at will" laws.
