I believe Digg is still in the negative. Kevin Rose has stated somewhere, I think in an interview that Digg has yet made any money.

If anyone was making $240K/month from their blog, I can assure you they wouldn't be downplaying TC's financials. Yes, $2.8 Million isn't a ton of money, but for 98% of the population -- Who has that type of cashflow? Certainly, I'd be more than satisfied with such revenue, while continuing to expand and grow my bottom line.No one can be angry at someone for succeeding with a blog -- Wish them well and think of ways you can do the same.

hmmm, yes this is a very good point :)...maybe it wouldn't work so well for Digg...or if they were to find some way to make sure that people only got paid for authentic new articles, or something like that. I agree that as soon as you agree to pay people for "contributing" on the internet or web pages, it can get quite chaotic and sometimes can even take away from certain web sites. Leaving that behind though, it would be nice if certain websites did something to give back to the community. That way when you find out that a certain web site made more money then you will in a life time over the period of a couple of months, you wont feel so bad :)

Even if it is gross, the operating costs for a blog type website is extremely low.

Factor in taxes, and you'd make more money in a corporate setting, and probably work less, too.
